I absolutely adore my job.
There is nothing in the world that I love doing more (except see my two beautiful children grow up)! Family aside though, I feel incredibly lucky to do something I am so passionate about; improving people’s strength’s in their vocals, lifestyle and spiritual journey if that’s what they want! There is never any ‘dread’, ‘Monday blues’, ‘Just can’t be bothered attitude’, when waking up to what has been a flooded, stormy mess outside. When I get gratitude and thanks for helping someone grow vocally, it is the biggest reward. I received it 4 times in one week and that was really quite a fat juicy cherry on top! A 16 year old lad called Jack Nevitt rang me last week just to say thank you for helping him believe in himself and grow strong vocally and building confidence in himself as a performer. Jack has ,like many, applied himself and worked hard to become better. There’s no science around it! If you warm up, do your vocal exercises, work on your fitness, eat well, the results are going to show. I was happy to hear that another student Jamie Simpson, took to the stage at her school and preformed as ‘Tracy’, in the musical ‘Hairspray!’. She did a fantastic job and should be proud. She was unsure and worried she could do it but I told her she could and with the right training and thinking it will be a fun enjoyable experience. Only last night I received this message from a students’ mother of a boy who is 12 years old, Calvin Glen. “Just to update you Calvin got straight through to the Regional Final of Teenstar today, one of the judges came over and spoke to us after and said how much she liked the song and how much he had grown vocally, Calvin really took on board what you advised yesterday and even rewrote part of the song to allow for more contrasting dynamics, Thanks for all your help :)” Brilliant news! I was very proud to hear this! I received a letter last week from Jack aged 10 saying ‘thank you for all my hard work to make him a good singer, and all the fun he has had, and he is grateful for that..’ The actual letter can be seen on my testimonials page. It really is the little things in life that count. I hope to continue helping people achieve their goals whatever it may be. I am glad I can make a difference, no matter how big or small. Although YOU are the one ultimately applying it yourself and YOU are the one who can go on the journey YOU desire. If you want to do, you can do it. What’s stopping you? Nothing? Then start making changes. |
