What an absolute pleasure and privilege witnessing one of my students, Calvin Glen sing, perform and host his own EP Launch! I am one proud vocal coach indeed. Three hours of jam packed of musical bliss from Calvin and a few magical musicians including; the singing sensation Emma-Jane Toop with her stunning vocals and guitar; Nicole McNally with her beautiful belter voice; Cool chap Charlie Woodford; genius and super talented Si Genero; the gorgeous vocal tones of Joe Mongan; the Musical master that is Matt Black with his black and white keys that delivered splendidly. All artists were there to lend a hand to launch Calvin's EP with all monies raised going to The Hospital Radio Bedside charity. As always, a big thanks to Suzie Wheeler who is the glue that keeps the music mayhem alive. Also a special thanks for Calvin’s mother, Marie, who is the most genuine sweet lady you will ever meet. She is Calvin’s ROCK…and roll. P.s Just a note.... This musical delight that is Calvin, is ONLY 13 YEARS OLD...you are never too young or too old to sing. He said he couldn't sing until a year ago and still thanks me to this day. However, he has made the change, he has worked on exercises, warm ups, writing, playing the guitar, playing the piano, attending gigs....and now his own one just for him... If you want something so badly...then you can make it happen. Even if you 'think' you can't sing, sing. It doesn't matter, you can only get better, unless telling yourself you can't then you probably can't. Think a little more positively, and change your thinking! Set some goals, no matter how big or small. I could go on..but I will stop myself here!! Enjoy your day, and keep up the good work all of you! What an amazing showcase today. Thank you all who came to sing, you were all superb. I was mega impressed! We raised monies for our selected charity. Family and friends for their support, Matt Black, Suzy Wheeler, The cottonwood boutique hotel, my husband Trevor Moore. Another thank you to Calvin Glen for my beautiful flowers, card and very cute and sweet music box!! Pics to come... your coach Rebecca x Here's a Lovely speech from singing star student Calvin Glen; One conundrum I have been considering is why Rebecca called herself MooreMelodies. At first I presumed it was because her surname is Moore, makes sense right but then considering it further, I realized it’s because she is the vocal coach who gives us more. More time, more skills, more therapy (actually the therapy is probably just me) but definitely more confidence, more support, more opportunities and more music than any other vocal coach. So on that note can we please put our hands together and give a big round of applause to Rebecca, the vocal coach who gives us more!” Great Feedback; "Thank you Rebecca and thank you so much for inviting me to sing I had a wonderful time! Thank you for being an amazing singing tutor and helping me to come this far, you have given me so much in the fact that I am now more confident in singing, I have more technique and emotion in my performances, I have improved my stage presence and can hit higher notes, you are the reason i am where I am in singing today, and I appreciate all the time and effort you have given me, thank you" x Emma Jane Toop "Wonderful day, fantastic show case with Moore Melodies, Rebecca Moore the vocal coach who gives you more, such talented performers plus an amazing performance from Rebecca herself of one of my personal favourite songs, followed by a great might at Si Genaro 's open mic night again with such great local talent Seriously lovely afternoon, such great talent all brought together by you and I can't thank you enough for your support and help with Calvin" xxxx Marie Glen |
